2. Design Consultation Agreement

Initial design consultations are complimentary for qualified projects. Detailed design development, including 3D renderings, material boards, and architectural drawings, requires a design retainer. The retainer fee is credited toward the total project cost upon signing the renovation contract.

3. Material Selection & Procurement

Clients select materials from our curated vendor partners or approved equivalents. All material selections must be finalized before construction begins. Prices quoted are based on selected materials at the time of agreement; significant market fluctuations may require adjustment. Special-order items are non-refundable once procured.

4. Construction Timeline & Scheduling

Project timelines are estimates based on scope, material availability, and site conditions. While we strive to meet all deadlines, factors beyond our control — including weather, supply chain delays, and unforeseen structural issues — may affect the schedule. We communicate timeline adjustments promptly and transparently.

5. Payment Terms & Milestone Schedule

A 30% deposit is required upon contract signing to secure your project date and begin procurement. Progress payments are structured around key milestones: demolition completion, rough-in completion, and fixture installation. The final 10% retention is due upon project walkthrough and client sign-off.

6. Change Orders & Modifications

Any changes to the agreed scope must be documented through a formal change order signed by both parties. Change orders detail the revised scope, cost adjustment, and timeline impact. Work on change orders begins only after written approval and any required additional deposit is received.

All work meets or exceeds local building codes and industry best practices. We conduct internal quality inspections at each milestone. Clients are encouraged to participate in milestone walkthroughs. Third-party inspections are welcome and can be coordinated through our project management team.

8. Workmanship Warranty Coverage

Every project is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty covering installation defects and structural issues. Manufacturer warranties on appliances, fixtures, and materials are passed directly to the client. Warranty claims are addressed within 48 business hours of notification, with repairs scheduled promptly.

9. Design Ownership & Usage Rights

All original design concepts, drawings, and renderings created by Interior Upgrade Pro remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. Upon completion and final payment, clients receive usage rights to the design for their specific property. Reproduction or use of designs for other properties requires written consent.

10. Site Preparation & Safety Requirements

Clients are responsible for removing personal belongings from work areas before construction begins. We maintain OSHA-compliant safety standards on all job sites. Dust barriers and protective coverings are installed to minimize impact on non-construction areas. Daily site cleanup is included in all projects.

11. Project Cancellation Policy

Cancellation before construction begins forfeits the design retainer only. Cancellation during construction requires payment for all completed work plus costs incurred for procured materials. A cancellation fee of 15% of the remaining contract value applies. Refunds for cancelled projects are processed within 30 business days.

12. Dispute Resolution Process

In the unlikely event of a dispute, we first seek resolution through direct discussion with the assigned project manager. If unresolved, the matter escalates to senior management for mediation. We are committed to finding fair, timely resolutions and maintaining positive client relationships throughout the process.
